These bypasses have been constructed mainly to reduce traffic congestion. The expressway will have five bypasses including Srirangapatna bypass, Mandya bypass, Bidadi bypass, a 22-kilometre-long stretch that bypasses Ramanagara and Channapatna and the Maddur bypass.
